Toward Conscious Embodiment in Community
An International Online Practice Series in The Discipline of Authentic Movement
Offered by Moriah Moser and Eleni Levidi
Thursdays: October 20th and December 15th, 2022
Two three-hour sessions
Matter is Spirit moving slowly enough to be seen - Teilhard De Chardin
This three-hour practice will be offered as a series two times in 2022 and is open with priority to the participants who had originally signed up for our online retreat in August 2022. It is an international online gathering across different lands and time zones. We will be meeting on zoom from where we each are.
We will engage in our practice in service to our wholeness and to bring forth each one's indwelling wisdom in support of the collective body. We will focus on the experience of each one’s inner witness evolving into moving witness and toward silent witnessing. Please read through the Moving Witness and the Silent Witness sections in the Mandorla and the Discipline of Authentic Movement article (attached) and in Janet Adler’s book Offering from the Conscious Body (if you have it). During our time together, we are also open to create space for questions, insights, and of course clarifications as needed.
Though we will meet for one three-hour session each time, we encourage each of you to take the whole day as a retreat day, if possible, to support descent. Writing practice and other creative expressions are also encouraged the day of our gathering and in the time between the two practice days to further strengthen inner witnessing and the felt sense of connection and progression threading these two sessions. Offerings from that engagement might enter our closing conversation at the end of our second practice day.
Toward Conscious Embodiment in Community
Our hope is to foster ongoing development of a compassionate inner witness, inviting all aspects of self to unfold, flourish and be welcomed into community, as we reach deeper into the gifts and challenges of undertaking conscious embodiment. And to receive together the value of individual participation and contribution from direct experience with an open heart and kindred spirit.
Finances
The fee for the practice series of two is $396. This includes a one hour follow-up individual session for each participant with either Moriah or Eleni. The amount is due on October 5th. If you would need different arrangements, please let us know.
We are very aware of the differences in individual ability to pay as well as differences between countries and currencies. And we want everyone who feels called, to be able to join. So, if finances present a barrier, please let us know. We fully welcome such inquiries. After we briefly connect, we will determine together what fee is aligned with individual ability to pay. We do not ask about personal finances. Your desire to join us is the priority that matters to us.
Preparation
TENDING SPACE to create a practice atmosphere, set up for comfort, and to have the least interruptions possible, we encourage and invite you to:
Empty the space, as is possible, so you have enough room to move.
Spend time in your space both being close to the computer screen, as well as at the periphery of the room, and see how you appear on the screen.
Have enough light in the room as well as adjust the light for your own comfort. Share with your family and loved ones that you will appreciate not being interrupted in your space, except for emergencies, as you are devoting this day to practicing and will not be available.
Honor transitions by carrying the Discipline of AM and the practice atmosphere as you move from your practice room to other places. In the spirit of caring for one’s whole self and essential nature, possibilities may include walks, nourishment, rest, creative expressions, and journaling.
Support deepening conscious embodiment, by the practice of writing from the inner witness.
Toward Conscious Embodiment in Community
REMEMBER to dedicate all day to the practice, if possible, as a place of holding and receiving you in your descent. And to witness pulls for outer social engagement and welcome the return to inner practice space.
During breaks please continue in the spirit of our practice.
We will embrace silence in service of descent as well as a vessel within which to withdraw and metabolize projections.
TO HAVE / BRING a candle, journal, art and other materials, for instance, colors, charcoal, clay, textiles, stones or anything that calls to be in your space and for your creative expression. Please also bring anything you need for your comfort; pillows, blanket, layers, water.
